Fuck this shit ! Nobody elected these people to speak in the name of bitcoin or bitcoiners. Bitcoin doesn't need any "policy", bitcoin need more people with big balls that do not comply with gov bullshit.
POLICY MEANS COMPLIANCE. Don't fall for this fucking trap, they are wolf in sheep clothes.
you have been warned

I agree that hat no policy is needed, but would you agree politicians need to be better informed? If so how? They aren’t going to read your guides or come in SN. I view this group as more of a forum to inform. This is what they state they are: “The Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) is a non-partisan, non-profit think tank researching the impacts of Bitcoin and other emerging monetary networks. Established as a 501(c)3, BPI provides educational resources to policymakers while empowering Fellows from all over the country to conduct original academic research on cryptocurrency and tech-related issues.”
Hopefully it leads to better understanding and adoption for US citizens. Looking at speakers that is what they advocate for. Ultimately politicians fighting for our rights isn’t required, but could be helpful.

NOOOO NEVER! Keep them in dark, less they will know about Bitcoin, more will be fucked.
FUCK'EM'ALL why would I help them to fuck me?
Ultimately politicians fighting for our rights
They never fight for you... you are the worm for them. Forget about this.

They are just another scumbags that want to speak in behalf of you, the bitcoiner. I don't want them to speak for me, I can speak for myself.

Senator Lummis is speaking up to prevent policy like a 30% tax on Bitcoin mining in the US. Again, I get your point and we don’t need them. Mining can just go elsewhere in the world like with the China ban, but mining in the US increases global hash and makes the network more secure.
reply
Lummis should STFU, do not represent any bitcoiner. She's just a politician. When you will learn the lesson that they will never represent any of your interests ? Only bla bla bla that doesn't apply to any bitcoiner.
reply
Technically she is a Bitcoiner as well as a politician. Bitcoin is open for all not just who you like.
Most politicians haven’t done anything for Bitcoin which is true. But like investing doing nothing via still making a decision. I.e they could shut down Bitcoin on and off ramps, mining, etc in the US. They can’t touch our cold storage, but could still attack

She is not, just a shity useless politician

Check your facts Darth. I’ve listened to her multiple times about her stories with her family. I believe she has disclosed as well.
WTF! What policy!
I only know one policy for Bitcoin and that's the Bitcoin Whitepaper.
Where do these people come from? Do they think that they are even eligible to talk about Bitcoin? If they really want, they should read the Whitepaper and stick it, tattoo it on their chest.
Bitcoin stands for freedom from policies and guidelines or procedures, it's new world without capitalism.

I applied to attend this in person but my application for an invitation is "under review"... super bummer since Congressional Employees get in for free -_-

Oh man that would have been awesome

Yeah I am kinda salty about it… Would not surprise me if at 2-3pm I get the approval… Hopefully I get on their invite list at least for the future!
