the largest gold coin in the world is a 1 tonne Australian kangaroo. It has a face value of $1 million.Clearly demonstrating the usefulness of gold as money...don't spend it all in one place.
apparently 1 tonne of gold is worth ~$100,000,000AUD or ~$68,000,000USD so only 1%-3% its worth, I wonder when it was created?
