Using a new approach called blind quantum computing, the researchers were able to securely connect two quantum computing entities securely.

So securely they said it twice in that article.
Using blind quantum computing, clients can access remote quantum computers to process confidential data with secret algorithms and even verify the results are correct without revealing any useful information.
The research will eventually lead to the development of commercial devices that can plug into laptops and safeguard data when people access cloud-based quantum computing services from home.
Let’s hope it continues on this trajectory because I doubt we’ll be running our own quantum boilers in our houses anytime soon.
