Oh merciful and loving God, in this new day that begins, we turn to You with open hearts and receptive minds.  As James 1:19 teaches us, help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger.

May we begin this day with humility, ready to hear Your voice whispering in our hearts.  Give us the wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to follow it.

May our words always be seasoned with love and kindness, reflecting Your love for everyone we meet.  Help us to be patient in times of trial and respond with grace in the face of adversity.

Lord, may we remember the importance of listening carefully before speaking and acting calmly, reflecting Your peace in every situation.
