You have to wonder at the penetrating way in which European politicians are constantly putting new hurdles in the way of their own economy. Whether it's nonsensical climate laws, ever new reporting obligations or the really stupid Russia sanctions with which the Europeans have taken themselves out of the game in terms of industrial policy - all of this ultimately leads to companies deciding to withdraw investment funds from Europe and look for better locations. However, this dangerous trend has not yet spread to Brussels and the national capitals. Politicians are living in a dream bubble of their own and have bought deep into the climate apocalypse narrative used to justify any nonsense that finally leads to further deindustrialization.
