In 2016 after Thanksgiving I was inspired to produce a comic for 22 days. This is that work. I was not a Bitcoiner at the time even though I had knowledge of it I still did not understand what money was. This comic helped me to get there.

Apriori Flower 01:13 - Teacher and Student Cycle II

DIALOGUE:
Frame 1:
Baby King: Why are you called Queen? Queen Flower: I am Queen because you call me this. Otherwise I am Momma.
Frame 2:
Baby King: Why are you called Momma? Queen Flower: I am Momma because you call me this. I am otherwise a flower.
Frame 3:
Baby King: Why are you called a flower? Queen Flower: I am a flower because you call me this. Otherwise I am a being.
Frame 4:
Baby King: Who told you you were a being? Queen Flower: You told me I was a being. That's how I know.
Frame 5:
Baby King: Who told you before me? How did you know? Queen Flower: My teacher, Master King Flower, told me long ago.
Frame 6:
Baby King: Where is your teacher? I do not see him. Queen Flower: Master King Flower lost moisture, he withered and he became earth.
Frame 7:
Baby King: I am from earth. Am I your teacher too? Queen Flower: We are life together. We are teachers and students.
CONCLUSION:
The cycle of life is teacher and student. Many identities are uncovered, recovered and renewed. The lessons are the same. Over and over we learn and relearn. Eventually we wake to this and we strip down to the essence of life. Because of our actions and interactions, even when when we come to enlightened realization, we still succumb to life and death. The goal of meditation and good practice is to end the cycle of suffering. A good teacher will always show us this.
Queen is Baby King's teacher and master. She learned her role through her teacher Master King Flower. In her growth and development she realized that Baby King was her teacher too! Her responsibility as a good mother is to pass on what Master King Flower taught her in the past. This life is dynamic. This life is always changing. There is nothing permanent here. Nibbana (Nirvana) is that.
Nibbana is the state of being that is not a state of being. All beings are temporary. All beings are subject to birth and death. Some say, "Do not get born if you do not want to die." Others even say, "Do not die if you do not want to get born." With mindful practice we release our suffering.

Apriori Flower 01:14 - Teacher and Student Cycle III

DIALOGUE:
Frame 1:
Apriori Flower: Do you miss your teacher? King Flower: I miss her sometimes. The Queen was a good teacher.
Frame 2:
Apriori Flower: Sometimes you do not miss her? King Flower: She taught me very well. She taught me that everything is changing.
Frame 3:
Apriori Flower: How does everything changing help sadness? King Flower: We are attached to things so we can loose them to sadness.
Frame 4:
Apriori Flower: Does sadness take things from us? King Flower: No. Nothing takes anything from us. We are attached.
Frame 5:
Apriori Flower: How are we attached? Who does this attachment? King Flower: Our mind attaches to things. We believe they are permanent.
Frame 6:
Apriori Flower: If nothing is permanent. Why is change constant? King Flower: Change is mind developing, grasping and letting go.
Frame 7:
Apriori Flower: Your teacher gave you are very good gift. King Flower: I will give this to you too.
CONCLUSION:
The Buddha was the famous teacher who had his mind awakened to the fact that everything is impermanent. This is the law of Dhamma. He became aware that birth is suffering. Life is suffering. Death is suffering. He also became aware of the fact that there was an end to the suffering. Learning about the cause and effect of suffering leads to the ending of suffering. This will happen anyway. That is why Dhamma is regarding as not just "law" but also "protection."
Another way to look at this is by his teaching of the Four Noble Truths.
Dukkha is the craving and clinging otherwise known as suffering. Samudaya is the arising of this suffering which is also known as the cause of suffering. Nirodha is the ending of this suffering. This ending is what eliminates the suffering to the state of being Nibbana / Nirvana. (Which is no state of being.) Magga is the path to this ending. It is also known as the Noble Eightfold Path. It's practice leads to happiness and eventually Nibbana.
The practice that leads to the end of suffering is the Noble Eight-Fold path. These are illustrated as spokes in the Wheel of Dhamma.
Right View -- Viewing and understanding the cause and effects. Right Thought -- Making a decision to let go of these ideas that cause suffering. Right Speech -- Truthfulness, speaking well, focused talk, positive words, encouraging words to others as we share this practice Right Action -- This is the basic practice of the 5 precepts where we respect life, respect property and we respect sexual activity (For monks and nuns respect of sexual activity is abstinence from and for lay people it is loyalty and honesty in your sexual relationships.) Right Livelihood -- Choosing your vocation that promotes happiness without going against the Noble Eightfold Path. Right Effort -- This is the mental action to work toward a mindful practice. Recognizing thoughts that create suffering Right Mindfulness -- This is the recognizing of things as things. People as people. Thoughts as thoughts. Breath as breath. Right Concentration -- This is where practice is focused on letting go of all labels. Focus on that which is never changing.

Apriori Flower 01:15 - High Minded and Regular

DIALOGUE:
Frame 1:
Apriori Flower: There are high minded things and regular things. King Flower: There are high minded things and regular things.
Frame 2:
Apriori Flower: Which do you have to deal with? King Flower: You have to deal with regular things.
Frame 3:
Apriori Flower: Which regular things should I start with? King Flower: The regular things that are in front of you.
Frame 4:
Apriori Flower: Bee says that she needs nectar and I give it. King Flower: Bee needs nectar and we give it to her.
Frame 5:
Apriori Flower: Sometimes I want to ignore her but I can't. King Flower: Bee is persistent. Our job is to provide nectar.
Frame 6:
Apriori Flower: I sometimes I am happy to see her. King Flower: Happiness and sadness come and go as does Bee.
Frame 7:
Apriori Flower: Thank you for listening to my concerns. King Flower: We share this practice together.
CONCLUSION:
Our practice is a revolution. Our practice is a volition. Our practice is the number one thing that leads us to happiness.
Nothing will replace the practice that we have. We may build on it. We may reject it. We still have to deal with all that we are. We still have to deal with all that we have done.
There are high minded things like philosophy and there are regular things like picking up leaves. We tidy our homes. We say hello to our neighbors. We clean our bodies. No matter how high minded our views are we still have to do ordinary things. These things with mindful practice lead to happiness.
Sharing the practice with another who is also engaged in mindful training is good. Sharing mindfulness by being mindful is always good. You will always be better when you are focused on your practice.
That's it for now. We have 5 more to release. Stay tuned. Any critique or criticism is welcome. Compliments are always accepted. And Bitcoin if it has helped in any way.

That’s cool! Do you still make comics?
reply
I can. That was the last time I have. I have a LibreOffice template that I used and the ideas came from Buddhist Writings. In my zine OgFOMK I made a comic in the 1980s. Just one.
