many are custodial, but they are also reliable. my total sat capacity is probably not going to be 100% filled when swaps become affordable again. my block clock and stacker.news show sats/vB. during this epoch the sats/vB is the number that every smart bitcoiner will be paying attention to every day.

i don't eff around too much with features i do not understand, so if many wallets are custodial for now, so be it. it is also easier and faster to onboard new people if i use the simple wallets regularly.
