Iād love to see comparable analysis for other sports like football, hockey etc. Probably harder to quantify than nba but I feel like football especially is another sport that has gravitated heavily towards analytics. Chunk plays vs dink and dunking for example

Analytics. NBA values high percentage 2 pointers and 3 pointers now. Whereas before mid range 2 pointers were a big part of a lot of elite scorers games.
I wonder if the pendulum will swing back a bit now as teams will just seek to guard the basket and the 3 point line leaving elite shooters with higher percentage open shots in the mid range.
