It's Time!
The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft starts Thursday night at 8pm. Your mission should you choose to accept it is to mock the entire first round. You can use any draft simulator you like and screen shot the result. Participant with the most correct wins.
A correct selection will be based on player and pick number, not team. You don't have to worry about mocking trades. If you think a team is trading up to take a QB at 4 just select that QB at 4 don't worry if the team doesn't match up.
Tiebreaker: If we have a tie between two or more participants we will go to tie breaker. Tie breaker will be "how many OL (interior and tackles) will be selected in the first round"?
I will be on SN during at least some of the first round of the draft if anyone wants to live chat and will pay out the winner after it ends.
Good Luck!

I was so pumped up and then I said "wait I can't participate" and I was sad.
reply
You can absolutely participate, just not win lol.
reply
Haha. I already did mine. Just waiting for some other mocks to come in. I don't want to be the first one to post. Maybe I will save it until Thursday and post it last.
reply
I'm going to wait, too, just in case there's a pre-draft trade or something.

I'm going to do a few this evening whilst away from home at a hotel. Seems like a good use of time 🀣

He can win the same way I can with my survivor pools, by not having to pay out a ton of sats.
reply
Yikes, I almost forgot to submit my draft.
reply
You got it in in time.
reply
Not this time. Pub had 8 correct.

Apologies for the terrible formatting. And for the terrible prognostication. This is a lot harder than just doing picks for one team.

(Had my Jets trade down four spots for a bunch of later round picks, not that I'd have faith in them pulling off a good draft-day trade, but my previous picks put them in a bind with none of their needs high on the board.)

Not this time. Pub had 8 correct.

I like it.

I can't seem to just share the photo as it's the whole first round (no idea how y'all usually do it).
I started quite trade happy but as I got further down I started to get unable to answer the question "who are they coming up for?" Even in a trade back scenario with teams, someone has to be wanting to come up, and if I couldn't answer that question, I didn't make trades.

Wow QBs for everyone in your draft. Interesting. Let’s see how it plays out.
I thought you would just screen shot the first round.
reply
Sorry, silly mobile formatting is silly.
reply
Congrats you won with 8 correct.

That draft was wild 🀯
reply
Very nice.

It would have ended up messy with multiple screen shots because... Silly mobile formatting is silly.
QB Tax is real. The broncos may have traded for Wilson but Sean Payton has expressed that he likes Nix. And Penix at the raiders just seems like such a good fit I couldn't pass it up. Even if they are a little bit of a reach 🀣

Trades were. (It doesn't seem to want to show trades including future picks)
MIN receives 1.03. NE receives 1.11 + 2025 1st + 2025 3rd.
CHI receives 1.05. LAC receives 1.09 + 2025 2nd.
In my head NE had several offers for the 1.03 including the Jets at 1.10 (who recently traded Zach Wilson to Denver, signalling they're probably in the market for QB) but NE preferred not to do business in division. Hence MIN got that one.
And Chicago came up because they wanted Nabers and the chargers were happy to take either WR or OT in that spot, so trading back didn't have any detrimental effect for them. Muscling out the jets who were still trying to get up to get a top 4 QB. Which is why they just went BPA with bowers at 1.10 I expect them to select rattler or someone like that in the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

Woohoo! Time to make a bunch of wild-ass guesses and hope the GMs feel the same way!

This is what the off season is for. We must have our fix of football 🀣

Here was my wild ass guess.
