Peter Wolf, lead singer of the J. Geils Band, also had some fun solo stuff. My knees hurt watching this video, though.

Man, Cake is such a fun band.

oh yeah :)

I'm not sure what this genre is, but the music behind it sounds really post grunge like the red hot chili peppers sorta easy sound. Then with the rap on top. It's really interesting. Cheers Roll πŸ‘Š

On 4 and 6 July, respectively, two newly formed London punk rock actsβ€”The Clash, with Strummer as lead vocalist, and the Damnedβ€”made their live debuts opening for the Sex Pistols.

Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen
The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go

What a line up that would have been. The clash, the damned and the pistols. If I'd been lucky enough to have seen that gig I reckon I could die a happy man.

Leave it Alone - June and the Jets

Here's a song I just discovered recently! The group has only released a few songs so far, but I think they're pretty good.
reply
June and the jets? There's a fair bit of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts there for sure. Really cool sound. Remind me a little of the band from Scott pilgrim Vs the world This one https://youtu.be/1xcSDYy3Dl4?si=qgpaYdqyxFR-CNXx

The similarity in name was not lost on me either! I've definitely heard a similar style from a few other groups, but I can't pull them to mind. The rest of the songs on the EP aren't quite the same style, but still good. I'm hoping for a full album or another EP sometime. Sadly a lot of these independent bands stop after one or maybe two.
I've never seen that movie, but I think I've heard the song before! It's pretty good.
reply
It's a movie that really doesn't take itself seriously. Worth a watch and is proper fun.
reply
I'll have to check it out sometime!

Drake tryna capitalize on the #100aDayTil100k movement https://open.spotify.com/track/3eh51r6rFWAlGQRlHx9QnQ?si=b6fa31c0463347cd

Lol, well they do say if you can't beat them join them. 🀣🀣
Cool track aswell, drakes a really good artist. Some of his stuff is super simple but super effective. Like hotline bling for example. Really really simple track. But it works really good.

Good morning zana! This is really nice. I've not heard it before but it gives me that 80s pop sound like tears for fears, that sort of thing. Really nice track, cheers for the recommendation πŸ‘Š
