I think Kelly Oubre Jr. looks awesome in a 76ers uniform: He just looks like he could have been Dr. J's teammate. It got me thinking about whether there are other player-uniform combinations that are a great match.
The two others that came to mind, were Jarrett Allen and Spencer Dinwiddie when they played for the Nets. Clearly, I like the 70's ABA aesthetic.
Have other stackers noticed this with other players?
Who was the best fit for their uniform?
Historically, it doesn't get better than the Norwegian Men's Curling Team https://i.imgur.com/fuF1ZI2.png

Those are great candidates for Best Uniforms in Sports. I remember @grayruby doing a post about that a long time ago.
I was looking for more of a specific match of one player and a specific uniform. So, is there a particular curler, or other athlete, who would look particularly great in those?
reply
Not going to lie -- I don't think I could name a specific curler if I had a million years.
Also blanking on good examples for your actual question, alas.

Kevin Martin, Jennifer Jones, Glenn Howard, Brad Gushue, Wayne Middaugh.
Not up on your Canadian curling history?
My daughter used to call curling "the hockey with the big pucks". We have a curling club right next to where she plays tball. I have never played. I want to take my kids one day and give it a try.

Like many Americans, I pay attention to curling once every four years, and then only since that bronze metal game.
(I do actually enjoy watching it, but as with cricket, I don't really follow it when I'm not actively watching.)

It does look fun. We took our daughter skating for the first time, a couple of weeks ago. She didn't last very long, but she was a great sport about getting back up after falling down.

Do your back a favour. Teach her when she is young. Haha

Has there ever been a more perfect fit than this? I think not.

How dare you?
  1. That uniform looks great on everyone.
  2. Jimmy G looks great in any uniform.

All facts.
