I wonder as well.
Until 1979 oil production grows exponentially, then it stops growing and retrace until around 1982-85. From 1982-85 it grows more or less linearly.
We can see, it seems, the Irak, Afghanistan and Libya wars, and the corona virus policies impact on oil production as well.
