The Federal Trade Commission is sending $5.6 million in refunds to Ring users whose private video feeds were accessed without consent by Amazon employees and contractors, or had their accounts and devices hacked because of insufficient security protections.
How much per person?

ONLY 5.6MIL?? That's shitty penalty. This just encourages them again and again. It needs to be 500Mil, then you know… It'll never happen again. We're talking about fing Amazon here. 1 Billion would bankrupt companies to NEVER ever do it or even dare.

5.6 million to all the users that got hacked...might end up being 10 dollars to each user who got hacked. Actually, have to pay the legal team first, so cut that 5.6 million in half.
