Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) may install 85,000 Nvidia Corp (NASDAQ:NVDA) H100 chips by year-end to train its artificial intelligence (AI) models.
If CEO Elon Musk proceeds with this plan, Tesla will surpass tech giants like Amazon.Com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Google as a significant Nvidia customer.
Im surprised he is into AI. I remember him being quite frightened of it.
reply
Yeah, he was frightened the way Google, Microsoft and his old friends from OpenAI started to behave and develop it...

Never forget that OpenAI was NEVER supposed to be a money-making endeavor and Sam Altman changed his mind. How it is legal to take a non-profit and open up a subsidy that is for-profit underneath is beyond me

Jealous he wasnt at the forefront, or the way they were utilizing it?
reply
Jealous of what the money 🤔🤣
reply
lol money doesnt matter for him.
reply
Exactly 💯
What was he jealous for?
reply
not being at the forefront?

When it was founded Elon gave them (OpenAI) as a donation at its founded to fund it yet somehow he doesn't have any stake in the company at all... super odd and complex thing tbh
I think there's nobody on Earth who is at the forefront of as many and critical businesses (including his own xAI) as him so I guess there's nothing to be jealous about...
I am surprised that he is going to go all in with the H100's and not with the more advanced and powerful B100s which also consume 1/4 of the electricity.
