This is ostensibly a discussion about accelerationism vs effective altruism, through an AI lens. But it's really a very smart and pragmatic discussion of some of the big forces playing out in the world, how subcultures form and splinter, and how movements become effective in the context of existing power structures.
I think even if you don't give a shit about AI, EA, ACC, or any of it, there's tremendous value here in listening to these guys hash it out. Obvious implications for btc, particularly in regard to political strategy, including (especially) the "strategy" of not engaging with existing power structures because you find them to be illegitimate.
