Sorry EU but in my BTC wallets I do not have any € only sats. EU can east shit. Case closed.
What am I trying to say is simple: people must make the difference between PUBLIC and PRIVATE. Read more here: https://livingintheprivate.blogspot.com
These politicians are not saying all and are using a specific language that normies will not understand and will fall into their trap: CONSENT.
What is a trade between 2 private individuals? A p2p trade, where only them are parts. gov do not have any involvement into this, is none of their business. Is a PRIVATE transaction.
What they are referring to is a PUBLIC transaction: in case, you as private individual, want to make a transaction with a public institution. That is another story, because they are using a so called "legal tender". So you, if you want to do that trade you mus use their legal tender.
Any retailer or individual could refuse to use a legal tender. Nobody can force you to use it. Why? What is the point of a legal tender then?
The point is that you cannot force a retailer to accept legal tender or indeed any other form of tender. If, however, you buy something from them and there is no contractual barrier to the use of any form of tender, and you offer legal tender in payment, and they refuse it, then they cannot enforce the debt in court.
That's what legal tender means: it's about discharging debts. If you incur a debt you can discharge it with legal tender, but you cannot be forced to incur the debt in the first place, if you see what I mean...

What is private is private and what is public is public!

The EU is gay

And a bit retarded too

Yep, when you are using fiat money you are entering into a contract with the legal owner of that fiat, which is the BCE, controlled by the states. Therefore, you are forced to use their rules. Although this might look "legal", in fact it is not, because we are violating here the principle of entering in a contract knowing what you sign, and 99% of the population don't know what they are doing, so the contract should be null.
But, for Bitcoin it is even better, because you are not entering into any kind of contract, either known or unknown, you it is not any of the the business of any state.
reply
The only "weak part" in all this scam, is people consent. Many are entering in that unlawful contract without knowing the details, obeying everything a gov would say.
COMPLIANCE IS WHAT WILL KILL BITCOIN.
reply
Yes, technically accepting the signature of anybody that signs without knowing the full contract is called a scam. So it is the responsability of the people to know what they are signing and consenting, but anyway if they don't know what they are doing the contract should be null and the states do not have any right to enforce it. But the scam goes on.

Thats what unrealised gains tax is all about, overreach to every asset, legal tender or not
reply
Please show me that document where I signed the contract and consented to pay taxes. Please show me that document where a living man have the obligation to pay any taxes, without a contract.
Is not about to avoid taxes, is about TO REBUT the whole authority claimed by a gov over a living man. If you do not know which is your STATUS, then you already lose.

In EU politician terminology "hosted wallet" means keeping money in an account with a third party, what we call Bitcoin wallets in their terminology are "unhosted wallets".
reply
They’re just trying to scare normal people away. By making everything related to Bitcoin sound illegal.
reply
So is it actually prohibited (illegal) to have a self-custody wallet in the EU? Not asking if it's enforced, just if it's really illegal now.
Or is it at the stage of just being debated as an EU regulation?
reply
Did you read what I just said?
reply
Its a bit hard to differentiate because most people use fiat. When you buy gas, do you buy with bircoin?
reply
Yes, I live on Bitcoin standard for years. What you still don't get? A private trade is only between you and me. We can agree to use whatever we want as money in exchange, even pink shells. Is nobody's business what agreement we have.
As long as you accept my pink shells is only our business and if I am happy to pay you in pink shells, is all good.
reply
Interesting. I still operate somewhat in the fiat system.
