Seeing them down 2-1 going into the third, and then go down to 3-1 early in the third, I already made up my mind that this was just not one we could take. It won't be too bad going back to Rogers Arena 2-2, at least we got home ice advantage.
But the Canucks surprised me. First Boeser got his second goal with 2:49 to play in regulation. Then, with the goalie pulled and only 8 seconds to play in regulation, Boeser completes the hat trick to tie the game at 3. Into overtime we go!
Just over 1 minute into overtime, Garland gives a backhand pass from behind the goal to Lindholm who buries it and wins the game. They played like shit the whole game but still found a way to comeback to win it on the road. That was quite something.
Canucks are now up 3-1, have taken both road games at Nashville, and will have the opportunity to close out the series in game 5 at Rogers Arena. Go Canuck go!
Stanley Cup debut for Latvian goalie Arturs Silovs (MVP of IIHF Word Championship last year).
Man, that goalie situation is crazy. 3 different goalies in 4 games and each of the 3 playoff wins is with a different goalie. My friend was joking that we should go learn to play goalie and might get a chance to play. Silovs played great yesterday though. I hope he keeps it up.
It was wise to finally give him some NHL games before playoffs started. Remember same happened to Kristers Gudlevskis years ago.
Another big win. I am pulling for the Canucks and the Oilers too. It would be nice to see a Canadian team make a deep run.
