The problem, for them, is that if they don't get a handle on inflation there's going to be a populist takeover and they'll all lose their positions.
The Fed's already paying for stuff by creating negative capital, so why not just keep doing that until it blows up in their face?

This. The average person doesnt care about the national debt anymore. It’s been absurdly large for many decades. People only notice when their groceries and rent go up
