We each have a part to play in broadening Stacker News’ influence and expanding the pool of users. Here’s how:
1. Write a review on Apollo
Apollo is a website for you to review BTC products. This is where you review Stacker News. You can even get 100 sats for doing so.
2. Subscribe to Stacker News Live
Did you know that SN has its own YouTube channel? Car and Keyan recap trending BTC news every Friday at 4pm Texas time, so smashing the like button, leaving a comment, & subscribing to its contents are ways to help it beat the YouTube algorithm.
3. Follow Stacker News Live on Fountain
Fountain is where all the established Bitcoiners share their podcasts. Car and Keyan have their podcast called Stacker News Live. Make their day by following them and zapping them some sats.
4. Forward the SN newsletter
Sign up for SN’s emailer that is published every Saturday and forward it to interested parties whom you think might jibe seamlessly with the awesome vibes here. The newsletter (here’s the most recent issue) showcases the week’s trending topics as well as concise summaries, so your friends can immediately grasp if SN is something right up your alley.
5. Send your contacts invite links
If you’re willing to put your money where your mouth is, you may forward your friends invite links. So, when your friends click on the link and join SN, they already have some play money to start with, thanks to you. Giving them some sats makes a powerful statement - that you are confident that SN will enhance their lives.
6. Promote SN on emeralize
[emeralize] is similar to Coursea, except that you get remunerated with sats when someone buys your course. One stacker has sold her guide to stacking sats on this site. Who knows? You could enjoy some recurring income from doing likewise. There are people who like to get their hands on everything they can find when they want to read up about something. Benefit from their obsession.
7. Promote SN on Publish0x
Publish0x rewards you for posting articles with ETH and OP on the Optimism L2 chain.Not your cup of tea for some of you, but it houses a ready pool of writers who will be more inclined to expand their posting habits to SN. In fact, that was how I got @Cje95 and @Coinsreporter to make their way here. I have 17 referrals. More to come.
8. Promote SN on your blog or social media
This could be a bit iffy, given that some of you highly prize your privacy. You probably don’t want your real-life contacts to know that you are using this site. I have a blog, though and cross-post my stuff there.
9. Cross-post your articles to Nostr
Speaking about cross-posting. Did you know you can cross-posting your articles to Nostr? SN is in its nascent stage. This means that many Bitcoiners have actually never stepped foot on SN before. Or their frame of reference is still r/Bitcoin. Your article could be the one to draw them in.
10. Donate to the Rewards pool
When you donate sats to the rewards pool, you increase the number of bonus sats Stackers are gifted. Receiving high zaps for their V4V will drastically shift certain behaviours. I should know. I almost stopped using FB and IG due to SN. I don’t even notice when my real-life friends have liked a particular picture on my FB until later.
