Hanging on
I suppose it is fitting that while we see the Bitcoin price trying to hang on for dear life, we also saw a number of teams, who were hanging onto their playoff lives by a thread, extend their seasons last night. I don't like to talk much about bitcoin price in my posts but the synergies here were too great to avoid.
Sadly, the Maple Leafs led the charge amongst teams that avoided elimination last night. Maybe "stay of execution" would have been a better title for this post. Also in the NHL, the Predators managed to postpone Vancouver's party and force game 6. Sorry @gnilma.
The NBA was no different last night. After a night a couple eliminations on Monday, we had both the 76ers and the Bucks keep their playoff hopes alive.
Out of the teams that forced game 6s last night, which one do you think has a legitimate chance to win the series? Your options are: Maple Leafs or Predators in NHL and 76ers or Bucks in NBA.
My guess would be the Bucks. I suppose the Leafs could shock the world and come back from a 3-1 deficit now that they have gotten some momentum and are heading home for game 6, but the Leafs losing on home ice in some embarrassing fashion is to perfect a scenario to pass up.
Sats for all, GR
Also in the NHL, the Predators managed to postpone Vancouver's party and force game 6. Sorry @gnilma.
That's alright. We will get them on Friday.
With the Knicks vs 76ers game, I don't understand why the Knicks did not foul Maxey on that last play. Such a choke job by the Knicks. Maxey was unbelievable though, congrats to him for a great game and extending the series.
And the Pacers did not play like it was a close out game. The Bucks were down their two superstars, the Pacers had the best chance to close them out. They not only not kept their foot on the Bucks' throat, but they choked and let them take the game. It would be a huge choke job by the Pacers if the Bucks end up winning this series.
reply
I have no doubt the Canucks will get it done Friday. Maxey was incredible last night.

Karma is a bitch. Isles are out in 5 and the Leafs are still alive.
reply
Tough one for the Isles but you can take your frustrations out on the Leafs fans Thursday when they fall on their faces at home and get eliminated. I hope there are tears.
reply
Leafs force game 7
lol
reply
I think the bucks too
reply
I have the Leafs choking in game 6 of the second round (#508906), so I'd love to see them be the answer here, but realistically, it's the Bucks if anyone.
reply
I had the Leafs getting eliminated game 6 round one but honestly would have preferred if they lost last night.
reply
I think bucks are going to win Pacers honestly, they're playing very well despite the previous losses.
reply
Agreed.
reply
I also think it's the Bucks. Those guys have won an NBA title together and they play like it. The Pacers are young and might not be totally ready. I still think the Pacers will win, though.
reply
Yeah. Hard to argue with the Bucks.
Did you pass me at the finish line last night to snag 7th spot?
reply
I feel somewhat cheated that I will never know if this great Celtics team would have beat a full strength Heat team. I don’t know why but I don’t think they would have.
reply
I agree
reply
The announcers are driving me nuts. Celtics are great but they are talking like they are the greatest team of all time. Heat are missing 3/5 of their best players.
reply
If I am the heat coach. I am putting my four best shooters on the court and my best rebounder and taking 3s for the rest of the game.
reply
I think they’re pretty thin on that front too. Since Kevin Love is their best rebounder that would actually mean putting their five best shooters out there.
reply
Cavs will beat the Celtics.
I ended up at 6th somehow. It must have been super tight at the end.

How did you do on your end of month Bitcoin price bet on FreeBitcoin?
Worked out pretty well for me. I had everything from 55k-80k covered. Ended up betting 2500 sats total and got paid out 4224 sats.
reply
Nice. I'm definitely doing it wrong, by just guessing the price will move sideways and going all in on that.
I think I'm about 1 for the last 3 or so months.
reply
What I did was bet 500 sats on the 60-75k outcomes because they seemed most likely and then 250 sats on 55k and 80k outcomes.
reply
That's a good approach. Next month I might try putting a spread across all the options.
reply
I just covered 45k-80k. Looks like I will make a profit unless it falls outside of that range or if it falls within 65-70k which is the most popular outcome. I will check back periodically and see if I can get better odds on 65-70.
Wow you passed me a Darth in the home stretch. Nice.
reply
I'm so happy that Philly's about to lose. I've gotten really sick of Embiid. What a loser.
