Hi everyone,
I am hoping I can help somehow bitcoin. Since I can not mine anymore because of very high electricity prices. I was thinking to just get one or more Bitaxe Supra and use them in solo mining. Obviously it is very unlikely that I will find a block, however I may help the decentralisation little bit. I know it isn't much but at least better than nothing. What do you guys think ? (of course I could just go buy some sats instead, but how is that helping others)
Yes. As a bitcoiner, we must understand our duty is exactly to protect the decentralization of Bitcoin.

Let's give it a try with some nerdminers and bitaxe 😄

I dont think this is a bad idea at all. Maybe everyone who actually has some bitcoin could get on the same train. Not to find blocks, just to prop up the system. A bunch of little guys with enough hash rate could influence the system.

Agree. It isn't much if your measure it in small scale however if enough people care about this then it should adopting which can make a change

If you already have mining hardware, I would turn down the wattage in the firmware and keep running. Nothing wrong with Bitaxe but why buy one when you already have hardware.
I would also point to a small pool that you feel deserves your hash rate.

I do not have the hardware anymore. After the electricity prices rose sharply I decided to sell it for some sats. Thank you for the recommendation.
