There’s so many privacy oriented things I’ve wanted to build that’d benefit from operating on private data. When I was toying around with e2ee git hosting, the need to do this kept coming up.

Homomorphic encryption is for doing things with encrypted data without knowledge of the unencrypted data.
e.g. if 1+1=2, enc(1)+enc(1)=enc(2)

It is a necessary requirement for current world. I can understand that they should be applied asap.
