Seville, Spain. May 2024. I bring you a photo taken just yesterday in my way to work. As an old European city you may find plenty of them in the city centre. They help to keep temperature lower during summer months.

How does it keep the temperature down?
By the shade? Or by the wind?

This area in Seville is a network of narrow streets with plenty of shades because of the buildings. Its origin can be tracked to the 13 th century. In July-august you don’t get much fresh wind in Seville!
