Mere Mortals

Last night we discovered the Boston Celtics are mortal after all. The Celtics have been winning games by astounding margins all season, including game one of their second round series with the Cavs, but the Cavs turned the tables last night and whooped them by 24. Now, it is only one game and clearly the Celtics had a terrible night shooting from 3 (which they take an abundance of), but with the series going back to Cleveland tied 1-1 I am interested to see how the next couple games play out.

Mavs tied the series with OKC despite the fact that the real NBA MVP SGA was great again.

The Rangers look like they will be the first team to make the semi-finals in the NHL. I guess no president's trophy curse this year. Colorado vs Dallas is shaping up to be a great series.

It's Friday, so I will be posting the MLB survivor pool week 7 pick post from @MLBofficialscorer shortly.

I've been rooting for the Pacers in this game, because they're playing such fun ball.

However, Breen just called this performance Donte's Inferno and now I'm rooting for the Knicks because that's such a cool name for an epic playoff game.

Caught the last 4 minutes. Exciting finish. Pacers got some fortuitous bounces for offensive rebounds in those last couple minutes.

That's the key. They're so talented that they can blow anyone out. They aren't mentally tough enough to regularly win close games though. Hang in there Cleveland. Beat them up and keep it close.

Ant Man is looking like the real MVP, imho. He's turned a famously lethargic franchise into a pack of wild animals. It's like trying to play basketball against a firehose.

I agree with you regarding Ant Man but I can remain irrational in my pro Canada basketball takes for longer than he can dominate the league.

It is farther north than Toronto so if they win the NBA championship it is practically like the Raptors winning again.
