The article doesen't describe the infection vector, which is kind of hokey. I'm guessing you have to execute it on purpose somehow, like add it to another program people want to run on their pc. Given the security model of the chromium browser itself, I doubt this virus could be run from a browser extension or a webpage unless theres a zero-day jailbreak available.
