I’ve heard of it but I’ve never used it. I prefer SimpleX Chat.

I also use SimpleX. And I tried Threema many years ago, but never actively used it because none of my friends used it.

I'd say the main difference to other apps like Signal is that you can use it without giving any personal information like your phone number or email address.

Fair point. Although they claim to store as little data as possible on their servers.
