Be careful what you wish for.
As far as I know they bought and paid for the property just like anyone else could.
If this property was to close for their comfort level they likely had decades to buy it on the open market.
Also what would stop them from building a new base someone where and then forcing the sale of a local business that was already there.
This appears to be another step down the slippy slop of having less property "rights".
It isnt a coincidence that the chinese are picking property by military bases. Especially during these times, that is pushing the envelope too close for comfort.
