When using Twitter, there is a very useful difference between the like and re-tweet functions, and it would be very helpful to have similar (but SN-flavored) functions here. Could you simply crowd-source the Sats Boost idea so we could boost a post we like? Can we allocate sats from hitting the lightning bolt to two separate functions?
The problem is that often there is a post (usually a link) which deserves much more attention that it's getting but 1) the posting account didn't boost it (or title it well) and 2) we are discouraged from double-posting for obvious reasons.
Example posts: #53230 is a well-done primary source video on Ethereum being a security and it's not doing well on SN #53336 I went to post this WSJ archive and it had already been posted. Great article and worth the read, but is currently at #135. Can I give it a boost somehow?
I would like to put up sats just to say I like something and as a thanks to the user who posted - and separately to get it seen more. I think we as SN users together should be involved in what's getting attention, but without any one person able to game it on his own. That would be a better newsfeed.
I could add something like this to the press-and-hold pane. At one point I did, but I removed it to make it simpler.

That would be great. :) Especially if it can bring older posts (weeks - months old) back to the "top posts" page.

Yes!

What if each user could have two “upvotes” per day?
