I do better in these contests when I know nothing about the sport.
I really only watch NBA and NFL and those are the contests I lose at most often.
I don't watch NBA and NFL, but it's true knowledge of the games has nothing to with guessing about them. Anything can happen in games. For Cricket, it's fun that even if you've zero knowlege, you can often times be the winner because it produces most unexpected results.
