PRAYER OF THE DAY - Mark 13:31
Dear God, as we begin this new day, we turn our hearts to You, recognizing Your sovereignty over all things. Your word is steadfast and true, and we trust in Your promise that heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will never pass away. Help us, O Lord, to live each moment of this day with that certainty in mind, remembering that we are guided by Your eternal Word.
Grant us the wisdom to discern Your will in every situation we face today. May we seek in Your Word the light and guidance necessary to make decisions that honor Your name and contribute to the good of others. Enable us, O God, to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Master, following His example of love, compassion and service.
Lord, may our faith in You be unshakable, even in the face of the uncertainties and challenges we may face. Help us to place our trust in Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to fulfill all that You have said. May our faith be like a firm anchor amid the storms of life, giving us security and hope in You.
May our words and actions this day reflect the trust we have in Your eternal Word. May we be instruments of Your love and Your grace, bringing hope and comfort to those around us. Enable us, O God, to be faithful witnesses of Your love and power, so that others may also know and trust You.
In the name of Jesus Christ, whose words are eternal and true, we pray.
Amen.
Mark 13:31 says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." This passage emphasizes the eternal and unshakable nature of the words of Jesus Christ. He is talking about the certainty and reliability of His promises, even in the face of the transience of earthly things. The prayer drawn up based on this verse reflects trust in the Word of God and dependence on His guidance and care in all circumstances of life.
