I think Lineage is the most proper solution. I've searched a lot, but I haven't set it up yet.

I haven't learned about it yet. Still using Android but will learn about and will set up. I also see no worth using Android anymore.

Lineage OS is good choice as it is supported to be installed on many devices. Getting a current device that supports a custom ROM is not always that simple.
As for hardware I guess Fairphone is an option as well. However the latest is not yet supported with Lineage OS.
Not all devices are easy to be de-googled.

The point is if you buy Chinese version of smartphone it's deGoogled by default

The best privacy and security can be obtained with a Pixel phone and GrapheneOS.

I use an iPhone and I have mostly moved to Apple devices after being a Pixel and desktop Linux guy.
