No, I should probably just use the cheap gas instead. But I dont use that much gas to begin with, so its not the end of the world. I drive an older car, the ethanol gas sucks. You can hear and feel the difference.

I dont think corn farmers actually make money with ethanol. They grow the corn, but the profit comes later for the people who process it.

No, they definitely get higher prices for the same corn because of the ethanol subsidies. That's the whole point of the subsidies.

Oh really? I didnt know that. Farmers are always complaining about corn prices and them being so low. They always seem to say they didnt make a profit each year. Yet have their farms still.

And somehow they have millions of dollars worth of fancy machines that they buy new every couple of years.
American farms, at least in the most productive areas, are very lucrative small businesses.
