It’s not surprising to see ASML build this in. The biggest issue that China and really the world would face if they launched a military invasion would be Taiwan itself would blow these machines and buildings sky high. Removing chip manufacturing capabilities from what China would seize really makes the losses that would occur and the international implications a lot harder to swallow for China.

For China they would need Taiwan to willingly fold back into it and get the public of Taiwan behind the idea as well. That is something that just not seem to be in the cards right now and in my opinion shields Taiwan from a Chinese military invasion.
