The person writing this article clearly isn't a developer and doesn't know what they are talking about. 10,000 jobs for 'lightning engineers'... Really?
At it's core, lightning is an API. It is an API to facilitate payments. I haven't seen any job advertisements for 'Stripe Engineer', meaning a developer whose full time job is doing stripe integrations. I'm sure they exist somewhere, but integrating a payments API is usually a small piece of work for a developer - they integrate, and they move onto other functionality that people actually care about.
Thousands of jobs for people writing mobile wallet apps? We already have plenty of open source wallets, why would an ecosystem pop up to support paid wallets all of the sudden?
This article just seems desperate.
