I haven't read the article... But based on the headline... Duhhhh.
Either the people who wrote the article are really struggling to find topics to write about, or the Brazilian Central Bank really has its head stuck in the sand.
Even if you think Bitcoin is a total scam, it's hard to deny that it's a financial innovation par excellence.

I definitely agree with your statement, it is very obvious that bitcoin is a financial innovation!
However, the value of this post by Yahoo was to recognize that someone at a high level position in the Central Bank decided to expose this opinion in a community/environment that is still quite dubious for some financial professionals yet!
