I was reading NIP-17, and it seems like there is a great way to have a private messaging client built on nostr. you could integrate it into the existing twitter-clone like clients. But, I think I’d like to have a messaging only client. what does everyone else think? want a private messaging app built on nostr?

ah, that’s cool. I’m thinking more of a whatsapp/telegram like clone app. I’m gunna look more into it.

I tested whitenoise with @ek the other day. It does work, but discovery / npub adds are a bit quirky. And there are some vibe code smells in the repo. But overall like it better than 0xchat

There is source code for linux and macos, but there are no release binaries other than
apks.flutteris defunct at the moment for me so I didn't have any luck to test a compile right now, will try later. I expect it to work-ish.It would be nice if one was built on here.
