A while ago I was able to visit the island of ☀️🌴🇩🇴Dominican Republic... Wow, an incredible place and very different from my place of origin, so it was quite an adventure. And this photo remained from that adventure, my partner and I had run out of money after a week after arriving. So we decided to wake up on the beach that night to resolve the next day and thus be able to save that hotel money to eat and get around while we found what to do. How did we get to this, well we wanted to escape our country and there was an offer of $40 per ticket to the DR so we went... We had about 500 between us at most and that money didn't last too long. Hahaha
Our street adventure didn't last too long, just a week. After that time we were able to solve work and then an accommodation which offered free status for 1 month while we began our Dominican adventure, it was a favor from a Dominican man, something to highlight about the Dominican is that they are very good people.
Without knowing you, they treat you as if they had known you for years haha, even if they only meet you for the first time in the market, the plaza, the "colmado" (name of stores or wineries), or on the "guagua" (name of the bus). Haha it's pretty cool aura seen from that aspect.
I never adapted to the country so I didn't spend too much time in the country, but it is undoubtedly an incredible place that taught me many lessons. In that year (2017) they told me about BTC but the truth is my ignorance did not allow me to get close to it. I thought that's not for me, I'm not in my migrant problem and I don't have anything to invest in internet currencies was my thought at that time. Wow! 🤔 how much I have changed!!! (I allow myself to admit as I remember writing this post)
