I appreciate sarcasm, but I also know it can be easily misunderstood, especially when you don't know the person well. It's even worse online because you can't see facial expressions or body language. I usually only use sarcasm with people I know well because it can hurt people's feelings. Sarcasm needs to be self-moderated because of this. I think it's positive in the right dose.
