ever since coming home, i have leveraged alot of my time to focusing on content for my primary social media pages. i talk alot about books, and the occasional lifestyle things.
however, i feel my content is becoming more about numbers instead of authenticity. i am posting just to post in the hopes of getting that one viral video that will boost engagement, views, and followers.
for the next couple of days, i have decided to take a break from it.
in the beginning days of me talking about books, it was genuinely because i wanted to, and not because i felt like i had to. there was no hard set schedule of the time to post and when to edit or film things. i did it all out of spontaneity. because it was alot of fun and the connection i was making with other readers and book lovers.
this is still always on my mind as a priority when i am an active user.
it's just, it is starting to feel rushed and convulated and a bit forced. which is why i want to take the time to revamp and rethink how i approach this little corner of the internet i built.
i want to make reading books and my love for reading the main priority again, and make content to my liking and not satisfy anyone else but me.
at the end of the day, quality of work will always be what stands out over quantity.
so if you find yourself in a position where your work is becoming something you aren't proud of anymore, take a moment to stop and think on how you can make it at its best again. the answers you're looking for are more often than not right in front of you!
