Normally, I would say gymnastics, but international basketball has become really loaded with talent. It'll be really tough for America to win gold this year, when they may not even have a top 5 player in the tournament.

Gymnastics eh? I like the power stuff in gymnastics. The rings and vault etc but I cannot get into the floor routine. They are incredible athletes but that's just not my thing.
reply
Floor's my least favorite of the events, but everything else is really intriguing and the point system for all-around is good for keeping engagement.
reply
I'm always amazed by their physique and their body build. Petite and short, yet incredibly muscular. And the way they're able to flip so many times in their air from just jumping off the floor is just crazy.

I thought of it from the perspective of India's chances there. Rowing is one sport among all of these where India seems to have a chance of winning so voted for rowing.
But, I'm always a football fan and apart from Cricket so would have my eyes set on that as well.

Basketball and football is a must. However tennis, cycling, athletics, rowing , waterpolo and martial arts are also good ones. To be honest two weeks watching every single sport on TV.
reply
I enjoy watching rowing as well.

Swimming 🏊‍♂️ is week one and track and field is week two

Runners and combat sports

Which combat sports do you like?
reply
All of them, wrestling, boxing, tae kwon do..
reply
Rugby 7s! And of course football!

Gymnastics and swimming (not so much diving) are my go-to Summer Olympic sports. Soccer, basketball, and tennis, while all sports I love, are also ones I watch enough year round that it doesn't feel as special to me, in spite of the stakes.
(I still watch all of them, of course.)

I like tennis but I don’t watch much of it at the Olympics. I usually watch sports I don’t usually follow at the Olympics.

I gave my vote to basketball. Interested in seeing what the twin towers of France can do. Probably no one dares enter the paint. Their presence alone would be like screaming "you shall not layup!" in opponent players' minds. Plus, team Canada is loaded with young and excellent talent. I think we have a good shot at winning a medal, and hopefully win gold.
I also like watching short distance races. 100m dash, 200m dash, hurdles, etc. are all quite exciting to watch and I'll probably be watching those.
reply
I enjoy track and field too. I like some of the field events like Javelin and Discus. They are fun to watch.
reply
Cycling…. Although Tour de France takes precedence!
reply
I really like watching the short track cycling in the olympics.

Gets pretty intense. I used to like the Madison but it’s been dropped.
reply
Can’t wait to see the Chinese divers
reply
I like martial arts. So my vote for martial arts (boxing and marital arts)

Nobody looking forward to Football/Soccer? I mean nobody? wow. That's a new for me.
