What’s the penalty for bowling the ball wide? Does the pitcher get removed? Why wouldn’t you just throw it wide every time so they can’t hit it?
Wide balls don't count as a ball in the over. The bowler has to have six balls that are not wide to complete the over. They also add a run to the batting team's total. I'm not entirely sure what happens if the bowler has a very large number of wide balls though.
