My daughter apparently learned her first insult and she's really leaning into it.
I don't believe that she's ever heard either of her parents call someone a "butt face", but she's been getting immense delight out of telling people that they "have a butt face".
It’s cute when they do stuff like that but you should nip it in the bud.

We more or less did, already. I made the post because I heard her telling one of her toys that he had a butt face, this morning.

I do let my daughter call me old but that’s about all she can get away with. Besides that’s a fact.

My mom told me that sometimes it's hard to discipline things like this with little kids because they're too funny and adorable to keep a straight face, while doing it.
She's definitely right.

Absolutely. That’s why I don’t mind for her to have one thing. Especially if the intention is to be funny and make everyone laugh as opposed to being mean.
The other day she had her brother doing animal impressions with her and she asked me if I could “sound like a cat”? I said “of course, meeeeow” and she said “ummm that doesn’t sound like a cat that sounds like an old daddy cat”

thats a cute insult
Our daughter is definitely just trying to be funny. She hasn't discovered being mean yet.
She can be quite disagreeable and mischievous, so being mean will probably come about eventually.
you have a butt face.

Maybe that's all there is to it.
