Howdy Stackers!!!
Are you all enjoying the fun!
West Indies could barely save the blushes by the hands of PNG in the morning. It was also a minor save for all of us. Wasn't it? Okay, that was a great show in a chase by a Chase. Thank God!
Now we are into the 3rd match of the tournament and the first difficult prediction considering Oman and Namibia are much the similar ranked teams. With that being said, here I am ready once again to bring you all the updates --

Toss Update -

Namibia have won the toss and have opted to field

pitch Report -

It is a magnificent place to play. There's plenty of wind coming in from the east coast. 64 metres and 61 on the side and straight down the ground it is 74. There are a few cracks and the pitch might get a little slower as the game goes on.

Preview -

Remember Namibia 2021 T20 World Cup? Remember Oman's commendable show against Bangladesh in that edition? The stories of glory in this game could be far and few for these sides, but they certainly are no pushovers. Treat them lightly at your own peril. Hello and a warm welcome to the third game of the T20 World Cup 2024. The action now shifts to Bridgetown Barbados where Namibia take on Oman in what should be a cracker of a contest. With both England and Australia in the same group, the path the path won't be as straightforward for the trio of Namibia, Oman and Scotland. That said, the teams might and will have to rely on the luck factor to do them a favour if they are to progress to the next stage.
Thanks and keep the fun going on...

Who is batting first?

Summary: After a tightly contested game across 40 overs, the Super Over ended up being one-sided as Namibia whacked 21 runs while batting first. A four and a six from Wiese, followed up by two boundaries by Erasmus off the final two balls. Then with the ball in hand, Wiese was on point with his yorkers, keeping it tight in the blockhole and giving nothing to work with for the Oman batters. He ended up getting the wicket of Khushi and Oman could only manage 10 in reply, that is after a last ball six.

Namibia has scored 23 in their super over. Now Oman needs something special to chase it down. At least 4 runs every ball.

Update:

The partnership between Davin and Frylinc has been going great until the last ball. Davin has thrown his wicket to Illyas and now there's an opening for Oman. Can the utilise it and get a few more wickets?
reply
Namibia is 24 for 1 wicket in five overs.

A cautious start to the chase!

reply
Low scoring match
reply
Yes, and it is still open. Can move in any direction.
reply
Do they have an intermission after 10 overs?
Also do bowlers get tired after throwing a lot of pitches like they do in baseball?
reply
Yes, they have a drinks break.
reply
Going to be a close finish. Namibia is not going for big hits.
reply
How does super over work?
reply
Both teams will play 1 over each. The team that score more runs in 6 delivery is a winner

Update :

A dream start with the ball for Namibia to kick off their T20 World Cup campaign. The decision to win the toss and bowl has worked like a charm for them. Trumpelmann trapped Prajapati in front on the first ball of the innings. He then caught Ilyas wanting with a booming inswinger to get two in two. Naseem Khushi was his next victim as he struck again in his second over. A below-par powerplay pushed Oman on the back foot. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and couldn't get any sort of momentum into their innings. The ball gripped for the spinners as Scholtz and Erasmus bowled brilliantly. A couple of cameos from Zeeshan Maqsood and Khalid Kail were the only saving grace for Oman. Wiese was brilliant in the death overs with his changes of pace while Trumpelmann took another to finish with a 4-fer. There's extra bounce on offer for the pacers and there's turn for the spinners. But, Namibia will fancy themselves to chase down this paltry score.
Wow, four wickets already.
reply
Namibia will win.
