A lot of these richer Western nations are adopting AI and creating products without the need for entry-level work. For example, Wendy's used to work the register, but now those are all self-service kiosks.
Call center or collections was typically done historically by humans, but now robots can do that work. Even purchase orders can be created with a simple power automate script.
We need to find a way to skill/repurpose labor that is being displaced at the entry-level. Many young individuals aren't learning valuable working lessons - and it will set them back in the future.
