It is pretty decent I have to admit but it conflicts sometimes with BitWarden and I wish they got duplicate detection feature. After you import from several sources one will end up with duplicates. I did not find the way to get rid of them other than manually, which is PITA with 10000 passwords....

I'm torn because I have a start9 and can self host vaultwarden, but proton looks really pretty.

Just make sure you have a solid backup. The hardware will fail, it is a question of when, not if :-) VaultWarden is BitWarden opensource so good choice there. I have both (proton and BW) just in case and hard backup as well...
