Most of you already use solid alternatives to mainstream, but today I'll cover all their Pros and Cons.
πŸ‘‡HERE ARE THREE BROWSERS I WOULD RECOMMEND
Your browsers sees everything you do on the internet.
If you still you still use something like Chrome (owned by Google) or Opera (owned by China), you should switch to privacy focused alternative.
Privacy-focused web browsers are designed to protect user privacy and security. They do that by implementing various features and settings that limit data collection and sharing.
THIS POST COVERS ONLY DESKTOP BROWSERS
Mobile browsers next week.
DESKTOP BROWSERS:
Mullvad Browser
Version of Tor Browser without Tor network integrations.
βœ… DNS queries encrypted βœ… Insecure website warning βœ… Prevention from tracking across browser sessions ❌ GPC not enabled third-party ❌ GPC not enabled first-party ❌ You need to install uBlock Origin yourself
LibreWolf
Modified version of Firefox that enhances protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also incorporating various security improvements. uBlock Origin is already included for convenience.
βœ… uBlock Origin already installed βœ… Insecure website warning βœ… Prevention from tracking across browser sessions ❌ GPC not enabled third-party ❌ GPC not enabled first-party ❌ DNS queries not encrypted (Only Cloudflare, Google, Quad9)
Brave
Blocks ads and trackers by default. That ensures that your browsing history remains private. But, there are many controversies connected with Brave. And also, don't use build-in Tor connection.
I would recommend Brave only as alternative if something doesn’t work on Mullvad Browser or LibreWolf.
βœ… GPC enabled third-party βœ… GPC enabled first-party ❌ No Insecure website warning ❌ Multiple controversies ❌ No prevention from tracking across browser sessions (only cookies) ❌ DNS queries not encrypted (Only Cloudflare, Google)
Final line
Use Mullvad Browser or LibreWolf if you prefer Firefox and want out of the box solution.
Use Brave if you prefer Chrome and want out of the box solution, that is also little bit less secure and private.
