Trusting anyone in media (but mainstream media especially) is one of the dumbest things any person could do; whether intentionally or not, every personality or group of individuals are incentivized in some form to lie. It doesn't matter how minuscule the lie may be, if an advantageous position can be gained from having it be perceived as true by people who aren't aware of the falsehood, nine times out of ten the lie will be told.
If not a lie, bias will be the factor that creeps in either consciously or otherwise. Operating off a "trust no one, and trust nothing" mentality by default will serve you best, with news aggregation services being required for any "impartial" awareness of the world's happenings.
That's implying you have faith in any form of media, including "alternative" media, which I absolutely do not.
Always be skeptical especially now
