I will suggest you can just install VMware or any other virtual machine within your windows OS and get started with Linux. Or you can also go with dual boot option. Though virtual machine is much safer to explore if you want to play and test with Linux. Ubuntu and Pop OS are the most beginner friendly distros you can start with.
