Today I'm sharing a series of self-portraits I took in my small home studio. I wanted to create some
https://m.stacker.news/34505"corporate" style photos where I looked more professional, while also practicing with a lighting scheme on a black background.
I dressed in a formal shirt and pants to look more professional. I started with some standing shots, using some reference poses I have on my phone to guide me.
To take these photos, I used a tripod and i connected the camera to my phone to trigger remotely with a 5-second timer.
I also used a black background and a 2-light setup: one at a 45-degree angle to my face and another behind me to separate me from the background.
Then I put a chair in the set to vary the type of photos and get different results.
When I take self-portraits, I try not to judge myself and accept myself as I am. I take a couple of shots per pose and move on!
It's always been more difficult for me to take photos of myself than of other people because I'm not a model or anything like that and I have insecurities like everyone else BUT facing this in front of the camera has helped me to accept myself as I am and love myself more.
I hope you enjoyed these photos as much as I did!
You're very handsome. You shouldn't be ashamed.
