I remember seeing it back in 2004 on my 3000 km bike ride.

Awesome! 3000km bike ride! What places did you visit? A bit of a rough ride through mountains, I guess.

I started at castle Neuschwanstein in southern Bavaria and cycled to Lake Constance and took the 7 Lakes Veloroute through Switzerland (which passed through Lucerne, Zug, Interlaken, Gstaad, Lausanne, Geneva), then on to Lyon, down the Rhone valley to the French coast, Cote d'Azur, Génova, lake Garda, Verona, Venice, Salzburg and Munich. The highest point on the route was Hochtor Pass, 2504 m a.s.l. There was still a bit of snow there in July.
The whole thing took me 5 weeks and included 7 countries, including Liechtenstein and Monaco.

What a wonderful ride and what great places to visit! That year we visited Barcelona, Annecy, Geneva, Neuschwanstein castle, Munich, Passau, Vienna, Salzburg, Venice, Milan, San Remo, Monaco, Zaragoza and Madrid.
Instead of bike, we used a car. Over 5000km.
